A new initiative of Wilkes Rescue Group
WHAT
Wilkes Rescue Groupās new initiative, āOff the Chain,ā will work with current dog owners to help provide adequate shelter for their pet by providing kennels, dog houses, food, and other necessities. The initiative will also educate dog owners on more humane alternatives for confining their pets.
WHERE
For now, this effort will focus on chained dogs in Wilkes County.
WHY
Every dog deserves to live a life of comfort and dignity.
WHO
Dog owners will apply to be considered for the program.
HOW

THE DETAILS:
Qualifying families* apply to receive a 10x10x6 kennel, dog house, cedar shavings, and other supplies.
We can also provide assistance with setup if needed.
*To qualify for Off the Chain, you must be 18 years of age or older and a Wilkes County resident. Additionally, you must provide a Medicaid, EBT card, or other documentation showing an annual income of less than $30,000.
