This 8 month old female pup needs immediate help - Can you foster?![]()

We have LIMITED information on her, she is around 20lbs and we will need to evaluate her before bringing her into our program.![]()

It is doubtful that she is potty trained. She probably has never been in a 🏡. She will need time and space to decompress.![]()

✅ TRUTH: Their core temperament stays the same. It just tones down hormone-driven behaviors like roaming, mounting, and marking.![]()

❌ MYTH: “My dog will get fat and lazy.”![]()
✅ TRUTH: Weight gain comes from diet and exercise, not the surgery. A few small portion tweaks and you’re all set.![]()

❌ MYTH: “She should have one litter first.”![]()
✅ TRUTH: No real benefit here! Spaying before her first heat cycle actually lowers the risk of mammary tumors.![]()

✅ TRUTH: It’s one of the most routine procedures in veterinary medicine, with a quick recovery for most pups.![]()
